I honestly can't think of the last time I watched a video for the content instead of the song. Besides the fact that I love this song, the unofficial video directed by Yonie, is amazing. I shared this preview on facebook a little while ago, but now that I'm blogging again it's only fair to share it here. One of the pieces from this collection is the Nympho tee. Here is my friend @princessmiranda rocking it for me. Before you ask, the Nympho tee promotes MY PERSONAL BELIEFE that: safe sex is great sex, and you should be having lots of it! I lost the only girl in the world that knew me best

...not only that knew me best, but also loved me best. I never really get personal on this blog, but every now and then I need to let some things out. I lost my grandmom 4yrs ago today. The crazy thing is it feels like yesterday (literally.) I know for a fact that i cried every night for over a year. I mean i literally didn't miss a night. Now there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her. If there is one present I could give to this world, it would be for everyone to have a grandmother like mines. She was perfect, and there is no other way to describe it. *deep sigh* I cried last night, and then this morning I smiled. I smiled because of all of the wonder tools she has given me in 25yrs of life. The biggest and best tool of all is LOVE. I thank God every morning for the abundance of love that I was born into. I know this woman had to love me to death before I even entered this world *many tears*. I can never give enough thanks for that. As I sit here and type the only thing I can think is, God please let her be proud of me. I mean I begged God this morning to pretty please let her be proud of me *many, many tears now*. I know I fall short in areas, but if nothing else I want her to know that her love wasn't in vain. I want her to know she has equipped me with everything I need to be a great mother, daughter, sister, niece, friend, etc..............Ok I can't continue to write, but you guys get the gist of this. I LOVE YOU MOM.

What is Stylegasm?
A "Stylegasm" is a feeling or sensation that you get when you see something stylish. This heightened sense can come from a pair of new Jordans (well for me it does), new shoes, diamonds, pearls, little black dress, etc... It's what ever gives you entire body a tingle and makes your mouth water. It's the thing you just have to have to compliment your style. This feeling is what my blog was based on almost 2yrs ago. I started it to share all of the things in fashion, and art that made me drool.

What is Stylegasm Designs?
Stylegasm Designs is a lifestyle brand that branched off from Stylegasm (blog). At first just wanting a cool way to promote the blog, then decided that a tee wouldn't be enough. I had some really cool ideas, that I knew had to manifest themselves. Through much encouragement from 2 very dear friends I started the process of starting this brand. I begin researching, brainstorming, and keeping a diary of this entire process.

What does Stylegasm Designs stand for?
This brand stands for independence. It took me a very long time to be comfortable in the skin that I'm in and now I want to promote that. I want people to feel the freedom to be themselves without judgement. Of course right now this is coming from a woman's point of view, but I will include men also. Just because I am a woman doesn't mean I should downplay my femininity, sexuality, choices, and anything that makes me, me! Just like the blog Stylegasm Designs will bring things that give people Stylegasms on a daily basis.

When will you release the collection?
My first collection which is called "The No Judgement" collection will be released in a few weeks! The shirts are already in production, I am currently waiting on the official website (stylegasmdesigns.com) to be completed.

Will it only be tees?
Nope, this is just the beginning. Trust me other things are already in the works!

Will the blog still exist after the website launch?
Absolutely yes! I will continue to document Stylegasm's journey through this blog. After all this is where it all started.

..yes it's true stylebugs, Stylegasm still lives. I owe you much explanation for me being MIA, but the simple truth is I have been busy (and lazy), if that makes any sense. I have been working my tail off with Stylegasm Designs, and while I should have been keeping you updated I just get a little lazy when it comes to blogging. I will seriously try not to take such a long hiatus again because I really want to help others reach their goals while I'm obtaining mines. I promised to share any and all information about starting a brand with you, and I will continue to do so*pinky swear*. I have a shit load of stuff to share so I'll spread it out over the next couple of days. First thing I'll share (as if you haven't already saw it already via facebook or twitter) is the Stylegasm Logo crop tee. I have five other designs, but this is my first *cheesing.* A lot of people have asked about this tee so since I have been away I have a little welcome back gift. I'll give a crop tee to the first person to comment on this post!

First shipment to Stylegasm Designs from American Apparel

Hey everyone *waving frantically*
I've missed you guys, but I have great news for you. Stylegasm Designs took a trip to the screen printers on Friday. Do you know what that means??? Well that means my tees will be coming to you SOON (as in by the end of the month) *pause for screams and hand claps.* Yes guys FINALLY my baby is being birthed. I have imagined the moment that I actually get to see my designs go from idea, to graphic, to picking shirts, to print. I honestly can't believe how much work this all is, but also how it all seems worth it at the end of the process. My first collection will be released within 2 weeks. Once I pick up my shirts (no later than Weds) I will then be doing a photo shoot. To say I'm excited is an understatement. This is truly a labor of love. Immediately once this shoot is done, I will begin working on Spring and my kids line (released this summer.) Yea there is no time for stopping. I told you guys I would be documenting this whole process, and since I have been busy I didn't have time to put up a few more key things. So in order here is what I have been working on the last couple of weeks. Links are included for each (told you I'm looking out all of you!)

- Obtained my wholesale account with American Apparel. I am all about sweatshop free merchandise.
- Obtained my company's # from Dun & Bradstreet (many wholesale places will ask for this AND it's a great place to have your business listed)
- Ordered my sample shirts from American Apparel
- Bought my domain name. Stylegasmdesigns.com (coming soon!)
- Took a trip to the screen printers to get sample shirts printed

Nick Cannon is one hell of a business man. For a very long time now I've tried to tell people this young man is very inspirational. If there is one thing that I am learning while building my brand it's patience. I am learning that no matter how bad I may want things done fast, the time it's taking gives me a chance to reflect. I can sit back, go to the drawing board and perfect something that I thought was completed. One of the reasons that I am so excited about my brand is because I can say I have put a 1,000% into every step of this process. The quality of my work will speak for itself.

Which brings me to TheBKc, this brand stands for so much. The quality in every release is evident. BKc serves as such an inspiration for my own brand. I can never look at any of their pieces and say it's just another shirt, vest, pant, etc. I hope one day someone will say the same about Stylegasm!

Remember when I posted my first video and I said that for every step I take on my journey to success I want to help 5 more people do the same? Well anyway my journey truly comes from a place that I can't explain. All I know is I have a passion for something and the greatest reward would be for me inspire and help other people on my journey. The steps I am taking are so organic that it almost feel like a breeze. There is a lot of researching and reading that goes into starting your own business, but this has been a "labor of love for me." So this is the new album artwork for the king himself Michael Jackson. Ummm I don't hate it, but I don't love it. It's a bit to cartoony for me. I expect everything done concerning MJ to be flawless. Anyone who knows me know I am obsessed with this man. The kiddies and I spend an hr dancing and singing to him in my house at least once a week (true story.) I demand anything being done in his honor be nothing less than perfect.

This permit allows you to tax when you are selling a product. So if you plan on selling anything that will be taxed you WILL NEED THIS. Sorry I have been neglecting you for a few days, but trust that it has all been for good reason. As you saw in my horrible 1st video I posted, I am on my road to success. I told you that Stylegasm is growing and will now become a T-shirt line. I can't tell you how much work and excitement this process has been. For the first time since I graduated college (back in 07) I am actually utilizing everything I did in school. Before graduating my senior portfolio was to do a business plan from beginning to end based on opening your own boutique. I have never looked at that plan since leaving the Art Institute of Phila until NOW. So I decided to do my first vlog to let you guys learn a little about what I am working on. I have decided to vlog my journey through starting my T-shirt line. *huge smile* I am documenting every part of the process. This is just an intro done with the photo booth cam. Below are a few things I have learned from doing my first video.
- I could never do a sex tape because the lighting in my room sucks
- I talk with my eyes
- I should have learned to adjust the volume before recording
- I say the words "super excited" about 20x's through out the video

What is your vision?

Since being introduced to "The Secret" by mi madre (over a yr ago) my life has changed dramatically. This is mainly due to my thinking. I have learned to think in a new way. You will hear me make reference to the "Universe" and "The Laws of attraction"very often. It is believed that whatever you put out into the Universe is exactly what will come back to you. Sound logical? Sound easy? Well it is! I am living proof. I have learned that EVERYTHING I think about good or bad happens just based on my thinking. I have learned strategic skills for getting exactly what I want in life and it is soooo much fun. I put these skills to use every single day.

Just think about it. Think about something that you wanted really bad and received. It was your desire to have that person, place, or thing that brought it to you. When you firmly believe in something you manifest that "thing." If you are constantly thinking about what you don't want then you will manifest that thing also. Remember "your thoughts become things."

"The Secret" teaches you the only 3 things you will need to get everything you have ever wanted. Ask, believe and receive! That's it. Ask for what you want, believe that you are going to get it, and wait to receive it. Viola! Now go out and get your hearts desire :)

Below is my vision board. It contains a bunch of stuff that I want to see happen in my life on a consistent basis. This board is directly across from my bed so it is the first thing I see when I wake up. The board itself represents me "asking", and me looking at it every morning represents me "believing", now I just have to wait to receive. I'll explain a few things on it to give you a better understanding.

- long morning runs *I want a life where I wake up and go on a run before going to work (outside of the corporate world)*
- yoga *already a yogi, I want to become a certified yoga teacher*
- rang rover *as you can see it's smack dab in the middle of the board. i plan to have one in the next couple of months*
- living room *I want to change and update my home, there are a ton of design ideas floating around in my head*
- healthy hair *you guys already know about my natural hair journey*

Now the one thing I forgot to mention is gratitude. Before you do any of the things I said be grateful for everything you have NOW. The more you are grateful, the more you will receive.

Viva La Cure....Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer is something that hits home for me (like so many other women.) My grandmother was a survivor for 8yrs before passing on to another life from the disease. Single handily she is the strongest woman I have ever known. If I develop even an ounce of her character my life will be fulfilled. She passed away 3.5 yrs ago and there still isn't a day that I don't think about her. In honor of her memory and for the other women who are surviving I'd like to do a breast cancer post every week. I will post pics of any and everything that I see representing those who have fought and are still fighting. This is an older shirt, but Saks has a big name designer design one every yr. 100% of the proceeds go to Breast Cancer research. I absolutely love it and was soooo happy when Jessica said I could post her pic to the blog. Also although not related to the post Jessica had an awesome story about the boots she is wearing. They were originally $189 and she got them for $39 because they were the last pair *gasp.* Yes I don't know ANY store that does that. She is one lucky gal! Ok not exactly, but that doesn't mean we can't lust over spring styles and have a Springasm. I am in no way rushing through the Fall and Winter because I haven't snuggled in a snuggie this yr (yes I am the only American that didn't buy one last yr.)
Browsing through Style.com always puts a smile on my face. I love to see what new seasons hold. One thing I notice is that there are a lot of neutrals,straight forward color palettes, and structure. I also spy nightwear mixed in with day wear. I love it! Wearing undergarments out in the open tickles my fancy. There is a tasteful yet sexy way to do it (displayed below.) Many of these styles will be added to my Sping-paration board!

The Raw of it all

So 3 days ago I decided to embark on a "raw" journey with mi Madre. Eating raw is eating ONLY fresh fruits, veggies, and nuts (raw nuts that is *giggles*.) None of these goodies can be cooked over 104 degrees, hence the term "raw." Madre and I are currently doing a raw detox. Day one started out with a 24hr fast of nothing but water, and the next 6 days consist of nothing but fruits and veggies (no nuts during this phase.) To be honest I am surprised I can even sit her and type this because I thought I would be passed out by now. My initial thought was "there is no way my greedy ass is gonna make it on fruits and veggies alone." Well boy was I WRONG! I can't say the last 3 days have been super easy, but they haven't been super hard either. The hardest part was the fast, and then it was getting used to eating all the stuff plain (I put salt on everything including fruits.) Oh I almost forgot the headache I had yesterday was a bit of a pain, but it's gone today (gotta be grateful for the little things.)

I often hear that there is some kind of enlightenment that comes from detoxing, well I am here to tell ya I look forward to it. I am extremely excited to give my body a rest from the harsh treatment of the veggie burritos it has been subjected to. Being a vegetarian didn't make me super healthy since I often substitute things with lots of carbs and dressing. This will however change. I can't say that I will live a raw lifestyle after this, but I can say I don't see myself going back to unhealthy eating (i.e veggie burritos loaded with sour cream and cheese.) So let the new healthy lifestyle begin!

I often find myself scared to do certain things (business related) because I am afraid of what others may say or think. I am not scared of failure, but just scared of risk (if that makes any sense.) I wonder "what if they think i'm crazy for doing this or that." It's that kind of thought process that makes me procrastinate on some of my dreams. With that said I'd like to share a VERY INSPIRATIONAL video with you guys. This video features a lovely lady by the name of Shavonne DeAnn. Before I tell you what she did let me just tell you about the laws of attraction. I saw the below video on her days before she started following me on twitter. I didn't even know she was on twitter, so you can imagine my excitement when I went to her pg and found out who she was. Shavonne is a local Philly designer that CRASHED NY FASHION WEEK! Yes you read it right. Shavonne has not "officially" been apart of Mercedes Benz NYFW, but she was still in attendance with her sidewalk runway show. Talk about a fearless girl. I am very intrigued with the process of raw denim. You mean to tell me I am suppose to wear these for 6 months without washing them, and the more I wear them the better they fit?!?! I mean just the thought of it is genius! The problem is it's hard to find raw denim for women (trust me I have looked.) I did a post a while ago on APC jeans, but here is another brand of raw denim that also have styles for women (nudie jeans.) I am very pleased with the overall look.

Here are some Nudie facts:

NUDIE
Nudie is the ”naked truth about denim”. Denim has the ability to age beautifully – formed by its user into a second skin, naked and personal. The longer it lives the more character it gets. The indigo is a living colour that fades and gives the denim its character. The more you wear your jeans the more beautiful they get. Jeans are more than just a piece of clothing.

DRY DENIM
Dry, dark unwashed denim, is the strongest and most durable alternative, and will also give the most personal result. Use your dry jeans as much as possible before the first wash. Six months is a good start. A pair of jeans is like a second skin where the indigo and denim are living materials. Jeans is all about passion and deep relationship – the more you wear and treat your jeans, the more beautiful they get. Your everyday life gives the denim its unique character, formed by you into a second skin – personal and naked. As long as they are dry (dark and stiff) they have a surface, almost like they are water resistant. You should not try to clean local spots as it removes the indigo and you will get a bleach spot for a long time. The longer you can keep them unwashed, the more beautiful they will get.

ORGANIC COTTON
Our denim producers are ahead on developing organic denim, both out of 100% organic cotton and as blended yarn, where they blend in organic cotton into the normal production. Every step of the production follows detailed and accurate rules that makes it organic denim. The cotton comes from organic production, and the spinning, dyeing and finishing of the yarn is also carried out according to ecological procedures. Funny I just posted this morning about my friend Dante Lewis pursuing his dream and then I came across a video for American Dreaming Magazine a/k/ as AD magazine. I first heard of this mag when I watched a video of my present client Facemoney. He sent me the link a few months ago and I found very little on the magazine after that. Fast forward months later and I find that I am twitt friends with someone affiliated with the magazine. If you know me then you know I swear this is the law of attraction working its magic! After retweeting the video below I not only wanted to know more about AD magazine, but also the ppl featured in the video (byanymeans.) This magazine started as an online publication and went into print in January. I found this article on the founder Brandon Davis(very inspirational.) I get such a rush when I discover beautiful people doing beautiful things!

We had a very unlikely meeting on myspace 2yrs ago and spent a lot of time talking through email and phone. I think the very first day we talked he changed my life just by sharing his music journey with me. At this time he had done a lot of work on Outasight album. At first listen I was in love!
